Our Watchdog Mascot

Because so many have asked about our Watchdog Blog mascot Apollo, I figured it would be best to give everyone a proper introduction to him.

Our six-year-old golden retriever and chow-chow mix looks like a cross between a lion and a bear. While he generally has a calm disposition, he is emotionally sensitive and can become quite fierce at any sign of injustice or wrongdoing. He likes to chew over the details of public policy, as well as tennis balls and chicken treats. 

He left a shelter in Virginia three years ago to join my household, where he is loved as all watchdogs should be.
